811spotter has two main areas, one for Tickets and one for Jobs. The majority of your time will be spent in the Ticket area.

After signing in to 811spotter with your credentials, you are immediately brought to the default page which is the Ticket List view. In the example below, the ticket list tab is activated at the top left.

Using View Selectors to optimize ticket information you want to see

In the Ticket list view there are three View Selectors available to optimize how to view ticket detail; List View, Map View and Split View. These View Selectors are located at the top left just under the 811spotter logo. See Image:

List View

The default view is the List view which is selected in the example. When you select a specific ticket in the List view, all of the details about the ticket appear on the right of the screen. See example:

Map View

When the Selection is on Map View, all of your ticket as pins will be visible on the map:

The following example has a ticket list with 643 tickets and many are overlapped, making it. difficult to see al of the tickets. View this short video:

When you zoom into the map detail in the San Jose area it becomes clear where your tickets are located.

When you hover over a pin, the ticket number pops up

Use the COMMAND key and + or - keys to zoom in further to see the neighbourhood cross street.

If you click on the actual pin, all of the ticket details will appear on the right hand side in a Split View.

Split View

Use the drag bar to see more of the map view and less of the list or vice versa. Just drag the bar up or down.

Click on a ticket in this Split View and the page splits in three - displaying the map (street view), the ticket detail and the list of tickets:

Other features in Map View and Split View

There are a couple extra features when the User is in Map View or Split View. On the bottom left of the screen are three buttons with the following icons:

  • left icon Centers the map to the Users current position - a bullseye on your current position relative to the ticket pins:

  • Middle Icon fits the map to the markers - the map will centre so all pins are visible.

The right icon is the Map Options - the User can choose between starlight view, hide ticket pins, hide boundaries and hide photo pins.

Satellite view:

Hide the ticket pins view:
