Ticket Status and Flow

811spotter ticket status is determined in a particular order

Updated over a month ago

The 811spotter ticket status is determined in the following order (i.e. the first match listed is the ticket's current status):

  • Cancelled The ticket has been cancelled in the call center

  • Expired The current date is past the ticket's expiration date (so after 12:00:01 on the day after the expiration date)

  • Closed (Completed) A user has marked the ticket as being completed. This means that all work is done and 811spotter will let the ticket expire off of the notification system

  • Active If none of the above are true, then the ticket is marked as active. This means there is active work on site

All tickets that are not cancelled or expired are re-evaluated every evening after midnight. This will cause any Pending tickets to move to Active after the legal start date. Also any Completed tickets are set to Expired if the expiration date has past.
